Creating Account Code Names

Select Account Number | Customer Profile | Billing Setup tab | Edit link

The Account Code Names folder area allows you to group telephone numbers by different Project Account Codes (PACs), i.e. employees, departments, clients, etc. If you group numbers by PAC, you will check the Account Code Summary option under Billing Options to have the management report separated by the different PACs.

To begin adding new Account Code Names, click [edit] in the Account Code Names area title bar to open Account Code Maintenance.

  1. Click the Add button.

  2. Select the Department under which the PAC code is located. Note: See Creating Department Names for more information on this subject

  3. Assign the PAC a Number and enter the Name of the person using the PAC.

  4. Start with the Number if there is no department.

  5. Click Save

Save & Copy button
From the Account Code Maintenance area you can transfer account codes, and optionally their department information, from one account to another. This function is particularly useful for corporate sub-accounts that have common account codes and departments for more than one location.

  1. Click Save & Copy.

  2. In the ensuing Search: and For: fields, enter your search criteria and click Go

  3. Select the appropriate account from your search results by clicking on their Account Number.

  4. Click [copy] and optionally, select the "Transfer Department Info" checkbox. On the resulting  Account Code Copy screen you will see the existing information now copied over to the other account's profile.

  5. If satisfied with the transfer, click Save. You will be returned to the Account Code Maintenance area.

When you are finished creating account code names, click Save You will be brought back to the Billing Setup tab.
